The Third Coast Trombone Retreat is a week-long summer trombone intensive welcoming talented trombonists from around the world to the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. Founded by directors Nicholas Schwartz and John Sebastian Vera, the Retreat takes place in the vibrant small towns of Whitehall and Montague, MI. Core to the Retreat are guest artist and faculty recitals, master classes, private le

ssons, ensemble coachings, a trombone choir, a mock orchestral audition and much more. In addition to the performance elements, we expand the curriculum to include a music business lecture/forum, faculty round table Q&A, discussions on the mental approach to auditions and performances, wellness and meditation.
