I stopped into the House of Art a couple of hours ago to see the art show featuring the paintings of Alan, Morin. What a treat!
Alan has been working with "acrylic pours" for a while and has created some very evocative & attractive art.
This show also includes some earlier (pre-pour) work of his.

I had nice chats with several friends and even with Alan himself!
I did forget to get his autograph, tho.

Thanks to the Monson Arts Council for keeping art in our lives. The community is richer for it!

A couple of days ago, I had the pleasure of selling an autonomous panel I made about 8 years ago!
It has been displayed for sale thither & yon and recently came back to roost in the studio.
A customer came in for other business, saw "Fathom" and remembered admiring it six years ago!
He was looking for something slightly smaller, but his memories of his initial reaction to the panel
overcame his good sense and he popped for it!

Fathom is about 24 x 18, my design, copper foil construction with a cool, hefty 3/8" Colonial came border.
I have no pictures of it in the main computer - I know, I'm a dinosaur. I'll try to find a pic
later on. Just had to brag a bit.

For the record:
I still have nearly 200 books about stained glass (plus another 20 or 30 "pattern books").
Also, tools, lots of sheet glass (including four full sheets of Lamberts flashed reamy (2 brown-ish, 2 deep violet-ish) - and more. Just sayin'.

I posted these on my personal page and this is my first attempt at sharing something to another page.

Here's that Deco city in glass. First is not quite right; second is acceptable.
Some of the clear glass is from vintage bevels (1/4" thick), parts from a broken, hand-beveled cluster (by Dennis Swan of Muncie, Indiana!). There are also some pieces of contemporary reeded glass in 3 styles.

The second pic shows a change in the clears and the deep violet, iridized glass for the sky and the beautiful blue Blenko for the river below.
This is about 9" in diameter.

Here's a sketch for a project I'm working on. I had to take some time off but am finally getting back to it. It's a sketch, the colors are suggestions.
It's a transom, about 39" x 12". Will be foiled with a brass perimeter.

With Kokomo Opalescent Glass – My studio just got recognized as one of their top fans! 🎉I know it's sort of an honorary thing, but I do like their glass!
So, here's a pic of one of a pair of damaged windows I took in a few years ago. The potential clients decided not to proceed with restoration, so the windows are now available > in a box or two with an incomplete compliment of largely broken glass. They are cool, tho!

I'm celebrating that I have cracked the code for getting photos posted on FB - finally.
This is from the current project which I call Josh 2.0 - for now.
This glass may be useful for flower petals. I'm masking some of the areas to see if my hopes are well founded.
The glass was made by Kokomo Opalescent Glass in Kokomo, Indiana. It sure is cool!!

This memory popped up today - quite unexpected.
Check out the pic of the entire sash - great window!!

Tea time down memory lane!

In appreciation for the chance to display some smaller stained glass items
for sale at the Upper Crust Bakery downtown, I decided to make a couple
of teapot ornaments to display & offer for sale.
