🎭 Theatre hot takes… GO! 👀

What’s your most controversial theatre opinion? Drop it in the comments — no judgment (okay… maybe a little 😅)

I’ll go first: jukebox musicals are way more fun than people give them credit for. Sometimes I want to hear a random ABBA song while someone dramatically falls in love under a disco ball. 💃✨

🎤 Meet TWO more of the comedians hitting the stage tomorrow night at MCP Comedy Night! 🎤

First up — Dave Wahr! Rumor has it Dave once tried to parallel park for so long that a small crowd gathered and started giving him directions like it was a sporting event. He also firmly believes every problem in life can be solved with snacks and an unnecessary trip to Home Depot.

And then there’s the OTHER Dave! (Yes, we collected two.) This Dave claims he can tell if someone is from Michigan based entirely on how they pronounce “Mackinac.” He also once got locked inside a Dollar Tree for 12 minutes because he couldn’t decide if he actually needed a decorative seasonal gnome.

🎤✨ Comedy Night is almost here at Monroe Community Players! Join us May 15th at 7PM for a night full of laughs, ridiculous stories, mocktails, popcorn, and comedians who probably shouldn’t be left unsupervised 😅

Meet TWO more of our comedians:

🤣 Ed — once got locked inside a Planet Fitness tanning booth because he pushed the “help” button instead of “stop.” He claims raccoons respect him and insists he could survive in the wilderness with nothing but beef jerky and vibes.

🤣 Hannah — believes every problem can be solved with glitter or mozzarella sticks. She once waved back at someone for 20 straight minutes before realizing they were directing traffic. Her toxic trait? Thinking she can win arguments against automatic doors.

🎤 Meet TWO of the hilarious comedians hitting the stage at Comedy Night! 😂 this Friday May 15th at 7pm!

First up… WENDY 💃
Wendy once accidentally joined a Zumba class thinking it was a support group for people who hate cardio. She also claims she can tell what flavor Pop-Tart you are based solely on your personality. (Nobody asked… but somehow she’s always confident.)

And then there’s MARK 🍕
Mark proudly holds the unofficial record for eating an entire family-size bag of chips during ONE Netflix episode. He also believes every problem in life can be solved with duct tape, ranch dressing, or both.

These two are bringing the laughs, the chaos, and stories you definitely won’t forget 🤣

Today we celebrate all the incredible moms, grandmas, bonus moms, mother figures, and caregivers who fill our lives with love, encouragement, and endless support.
