Monroe City Dance Academy is honored to partner with Union County Youth Ballet by hosting and teaching this summer’s choreography camps as dancers prepare for this beloved holiday production. 🎄🩰

We are inviting dancers to join us for an unforgettable production experience filled with beautiful choreography, exciting rehearsals, and holiday magic on stage.

📣 Interested in being part of this year’s production?
All dancers wishing to perform in The Nutcracker must attend the Audition & Choreography Camp in August.

⭐ Dancers in Level 7 and up are also encouraged to join us for the Sneak Preview Camps in June for an early look at choreography and production pieces!

Welcome back to ballet! 🩰 We hope everyone had a restful, refreshing, and productive spring break—we’ve missed you!

As we jump back into the studio, recital season is right around the corner. We have just 6 weeks until recital, which means only 5 more teaching weeks to finalize choreography, polish, and prepare.

This is such an important time for our dancers, and consistent attendance truly makes all the difference. Please make every effort to be in class as much as possible so your dancer feels confident, prepared, and ready to shine on stage!

Let’s finish this season strong—we can’t wait to see all the hard work come together! 💗

☃️❄️We hope everyone stayed warm, safe, and enjoyed the rare North Carolina snowstorm. ❄️☃️

☑️Please do not park in the grassy area close to the fence. The ground is very wet and soft from the snow, and you may get stuck.

🕜After hearing from most of our Level 7/Intermediate and Advanced dancers, we have decided to adjust their classes tonight. We want to ensure our families can travel safely to dance and return home before it gets dark.

The office will open at 3:30. 🕞

We can’t wait to have you all back at the studio and hear about your adventures in the snow!❄️

After checking road conditions near the studio, we’ve made the decision to remain closed today (Monday, February 2nd) to ensure everyone’s safety.

We will be holding make-up classes for this week and last week, both missed due to icy conditions.

We went outside and checked… the weather is perfect to get those dancers into the studio to burn off some energy and learn!!!

At this time, classes will be held as normal on Friday, January 23rd. The Wintery weather is not expected to effect our area until later on Saturday. We expect our Saturday morning class to also run as scheduled.

We look forward to seeing you at classes tonight!
