💙 MISS MONROE COUNTY MISSION MONDAY 💙

Providing scholarships for the young women of Monroe County is our mission.

Our very own Kaye Lani Rae Rafko-Wilson — Miss Monroe County 1986, Miss Michigan 1987, and Miss America 1988 — shares a powerful reminder of why that mission matters.

Kaye Lani began competing in scholarship pageants for one simple reason: to earn money to attend college. What began as a way to help fund her education became a journey that would lead her to earning her college degree, achieving her career goals, serving her community, and ultimately becoming Miss America. 👑

Her story truly epitomizes the mission of Miss Monroe County and all that this program has to offer:
🎓 Earning college scholarships
🎓 Attaining a college degree
💼 Achieving career goals
💙 A lifetime of service to the community
👑 And, for one extraordinary young woman, becoming Miss America!

We are incredibly blessed to call Kaye Lani our Forever Miss Monroe County. She continues to share her beautiful heart, wisdom, and passion with Monroe County and remains committed to making our community a better place.

This is why scholarships matter. This is why our mission matters. And this is why we continue to invest in the young women of Monroe County 💙
