"Some stories are cut tragically short, but their memories refuse to fade."

A quiet, often overlooked grave at Rest Haven holds a story tied to a massive national tragedy. On October 23rd and 24th, the Spirits and Legends Cemetery Tour shares the heartbreaking memory of sixteen-year-old Ella Sue Mitchum.

In the winter of her senior year, an exciting school trip placed her directly in the path of a historic disaster that gripped the country. Though her deep family roots eventually brought her to rest peacefully here in Monroe, her spirit still whispers from the shadows of the old stones.

Don't miss this moving performance presented by On Stage Playhouse and the Historical Society of Walton County.
