This is why the very first step is to always clean your furniture. I never realized how dirty and grimy furniture could become…this is just from one drawer!
I use Simple Green concentrate, diluted 50/50 with water in a spray bottle. Seems to work very well, without the harmful, toxic chemicals that take my breath.

What did we do before Youtube “school” y’all?? 🤷🏼‍♀️😄

I’ve been researching, experimenting, and learning the process of flipping furniture. How to properly clean, prep, make minor repairs, etc. I’m loving it! Using wood filler is one of my new favorite tricks, it’s amazing what you can do with it! Have you ever tried it?

I’ve also learned that I am definitely NOT a fan of the old wooden drawer slide tracks, especially those not made of hardwood. They split and break too easily and can be troublesome to repair. I am currently learning about various drawer issue repairs…and how simple and time-saving (and especially 💵-saving some can be;)).

Just thought I would share a few pics of the process with you all. I’m enjoying working with my hands and breathing new life back into old, special pieces and vintage items that still have many years of beauty to offer.

Excited for this local art exhibit! I found out about it last-minute and decided to submit some “tiny” abstract pieces of my own today. I had a sneak peek at the marvelous local talent while there, and am eager to return after the show opens later in the week! All works are available for sale and immediate take-home at time of purchase. Awards reception will be Friday, June 10th, 6-7:30pm. 🤗🎨🧶📸

Such fun doing the Live last night with my sister-friend Stephanie Patton along with our daughters!! We painted dragon lamps and I also poured on some plastic eggs...who needs the Easter Bunny when you have the Easter Dragon?!?!! 😅🐉
I poured on my dragon and still have to finish brush painting the globe part today. My daughter’s is the blue one.
