It’s been a busy few weeks so we’re a little behind, but…..

🏁 DOUBLE RACING RECAP!! 🏁

We’ve been BUSY at the track!

August 8th — Figure 8 Nationals!
You got to see all kinds of excitement in The X during 60 Minutes of Fear! 🏁

Then we rolled right into…

AUGUST 14th & 15th — SUMMER SHOWDOWN!

It was a PACKED weekend of racing featuring: Mini Stocks, Street Stocks, Legends, Vintage Modifieds, Pro Late Models, Super Late Models

And of course, our Push Trucks were out there helping keep the action moving! Our push truck attendance numbers were:
74 • 23 • 5 • 6 • 51 • 59 • 64

And if you were paying close attention… You may have even spotted one of our very own push truck drivers stepping into the pace car! 🏁 Two weekends. TWO big events. SO much racing! Thank you to everyone who came out, supported the track, and helped make these events happen! 🏁

You don’t often see her since she’s behind the camera, but on Sprint day she’s out working hard setting the cars up for the trucks to push. Being part of the push truck crew doesn’t mean just sitting in a truck. It takes team work in a lot of different forms to keep everything moving whether it’s practice or race day.

Who are the unsung heroes of sprint car racing?

In my opinion, push truck drivers don’t get nearly enough credit.

Think about a sprint car race with 30 cars in the pits and only a couple of push trucks. The show would slow down in a hurry. Push truck drivers are a huge part of keeping sprint car racing efficient — getting cars fired quickly, keeping the program moving, and helping make sure we stay under green-flag conditions as much as possible. At most sprint car events, you really need 5 or more push trucks to keep everything running smoothly.

What makes it even more impressive is that a lot of these drivers are donating their own time and equipment. They show up to weekly races and major events all spring, summer, and fall just to help the show go on.

So while we all enjoy sprint car racing, don’t forget to thank the push truck drivers at your local track. Their hard work behind the scenes plays a massive role in making it all happen. 👊🏻

What a weekend at Evergreen Speedway!

Push Truck Crew on duty: #5, #78, #6, #74 & #64

On-track action featured: Legends, Street Stocks, Super Stock Figure 8s, Mini Stocks, and Pro Late Models

One of the highlights of the weekend was our Drivers Reunion! It was awesome seeing everyone reminiscing over old memories, checking out the incredible memorabilia, and admiring the classic race cars that helped make Evergreen Speedway what it is today. 🏁

🎉 A HUGE congratulations to Haley Constance! 🎉
Haley laid down an incredible 15.866-second lap, setting a NEW TRACK RECORD at Evergreen Speedway! What an amazing accomplishment!🏆

While the race cars are taking a weekend off, the action isn't slowing down! If you caught a glimpse of the drifting exhibition during our 4th of July USA Birthday Bash, now's your chance to see even more sideways action this weekend at Driftcon. It's going to be an awesome event!
