Today's I Ching hexagram forecast: Chung Fu with Li augmenting
Chung Fu - Inner Confidence
Combines the marsh and wind in its upper and lower trigrams. This hexagram is hard on the outside and empty on the inside, like a boat. Everyone in the boat has a common aim so they can direct their work to the common good. If an emperor rules wisely, he can actually reform his people; in the same way, the wind which ruffles the water actually affects the creatures in the water. Chung Fu is based on the confidence that everything will succeed and that Heaven will correct bad habits. (which is the key idea of suffering and repentance).
If someone gives you the chance to try something new, be prepared and give it thought. You could be lucky. Your actions should set an example to others. Not only will you be respected but others will want to be with you. There is a good deal of happiness but be careful, working too closely with other people can cause arguments. You may come to rely too much on their moods.
Everything will work out well and it is good that you have decided to leave an untrustworthy friend. Beware of choosing colleagues because they are your friends. Choose them for their honesty, skills and trustworthiness. Try not to be too confident. Chickens can never fly but they attempt to if you try to catch them. Although you realize you will not be promoted at this time, you refuse to step down.
Li, our augmenting hexagram, combines Heaven and the marsh and is about walking carefully. This hexagram should be taken along with Chung Fu. A civilized society must be well organized. Rules should be judged accordingly and all people should be both virtuous and moral. This is the mark of a true person. This hexagram uses the tiger to describe man's obstinate and cruel nature; those who follow such a man will be easily harmed.
Whatever you do, be well mannered and well behaved. Be sincere and honest and you will not make any mistakes. You will always be successful if you are happy and honest. Do not try to go beyond your capacity. You will cause trouble if you think your authority is greater than it actually is. You are working for a harsh master. At the same time, you are surrounded by cunning colleagues just waiting to see you fail. Be careful and wise and tread warily. You should be quick and decisive. Always be modest and honest (humble) because arrogance easily upsets others. Watch carefully what is happening (discernment), if you discover any mistakes or malpractice, correct them. Good fortune will be yours.
