Ava was a dancer of 14 years at The Dance Workshop including 7 years of competitive dance. She is now a member of the Loyola University Maryland Division 1 Dance Team and recently competed at NDA Nationals in Florida!

Mikayla started dancing at The Dance Workshop at age 2. She has taken all genres and her favorite is Turn and Kick with Miss Ashley. “A favorite memory, specifically from senior year, was how much fun and laughter we would have at large rehearsal with Miss Claudia and all the competitions we got to spend time together at.” Mikayla will be attending the University of Kentucky and studying Business and Criminal Justice. When not at dance, she enjoys working out, spending time with friends, shopping, going to the beach, and cooking.

“I would like to thank all my teachers and friends who have filled my life for the past 15 years. My life would never be the same without any of you and I am grateful for all the lessons I have learned throughout the way. Special shout out to Miss Ashley, I am so grateful to have had you as a teacher for over 10 years and to have grown up with you, you made my senior year extra special. Lastly I would like to give the biggest thank you to my mom for being the best dance mom and always supporting my dreams and being there for me. I can’t believe my time at DWS is almost over but will carry these memories and friendships for the rest of my life.”

Bio:
Caitie Russell is a Radio City Rockette and has performed in the iconic Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall since 2021. With The Rockettes she has performed in multiple Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades and The Today Show as both a performer and swing. Recent film credits include Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret (Lionsgate®), featuring choreography by Mandy Moore. Caitie is also a Co Founder of Dance N Go, an on the go dance equipment brand
featuring products like The GoBoard and Go Mirror. Caitie earned a B.F.A. in Commercial Dance from Pace University in 2020, under the direction of Rhonda Miller. While at Pace, Caitie performed as a soloist and ensemble member in works choreographed by Mandy Moore, Jen
Hamilton, Dominique Kelley, Scott Jovovich, Lauren Gaul and Jess Hendricks. Regional credits include The Nutcracker Ballet choreographed by Scott Jovovich (Dew Drop Fairy) and Fosse/Verdon Live (Ensemble), a promotional event choreographed by Cherice Barton at SoHo
House New York. Based in New York City, Caitie travels around the U.S. leading masterclasses in a variety of dance styles, private lessons and choreographing works for aspiring young dancers.
