Mikayla started dancing at The Dance Workshop at age 2. She has taken all genres and her favorite is Turn and Kick with Miss Ashley. “A favorite memory, specifically from senior year, was how much fun and laughter we would have at large rehearsal with Miss Claudia and all the competitions we got to spend time together at.” Mikayla will be attending the University of Kentucky and studying Business and Criminal Justice. When not at dance, she enjoys working out, spending time with friends, shopping, going to the beach, and cooking.

“I would like to thank all my teachers and friends who have filled my life for the past 15 years. My life would never be the same without any of you and I am grateful for all the lessons I have learned throughout the way. Special shout out to Miss Ashley, I am so grateful to have had you as a teacher for over 10 years and to have grown up with you, you made my senior year extra special. Lastly I would like to give the biggest thank you to my mom for being the best dance mom and always supporting my dreams and being there for me. I can’t believe my time at DWS is almost over but will carry these memories and friendships for the rest of my life.”

Bio:
Caitie Russell is a Radio City Rockette and has performed in the iconic Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall since 2021. With The Rockettes she has performed in multiple Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades and The Today Show as both a performer and swing. Recent film credits include Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret (Lionsgate®), featuring choreography by Mandy Moore. Caitie is also a Co Founder of Dance N Go, an on the go dance equipment brand
featuring products like The GoBoard and Go Mirror. Caitie earned a B.F.A. in Commercial Dance from Pace University in 2020, under the direction of Rhonda Miller. While at Pace, Caitie performed as a soloist and ensemble member in works choreographed by Mandy Moore, Jen
Hamilton, Dominique Kelley, Scott Jovovich, Lauren Gaul and Jess Hendricks. Regional credits include The Nutcracker Ballet choreographed by Scott Jovovich (Dew Drop Fairy) and Fosse/Verdon Live (Ensemble), a promotional event choreographed by Cherice Barton at SoHo
House New York. Based in New York City, Caitie travels around the U.S. leading masterclasses in a variety of dance styles, private lessons and choreographing works for aspiring young dancers.

Ellie started dancing at The Dance Workshop at age 3. She has taken many genres over her 15 years and Turn and Kick is her favorite class. One of her favorite DWS memories is going to nationals and having fun all week with her friends. Ellie is graduating from a trade high school and will continue her studies in carpentry on a scholarship. When not at dance, Ellie likes to hang out with her friends and go out to eat.

“I would like to thank all of my teachers for supporting and encouraging me throughout the past 15 years, especially Ms. Ashley, for making these years so memorable. A special thank you goes to my mom, who has been at every competition, cheering me on from the audience for the past nine years. Your love and support have meant everything to me. I will never forget the memories, laughter, and friendships I have shared with my best friends. I am incredibly grateful for the past 15 years and for everyone who has helped shape me into the person I am today.”

Sydney started dancing at The Dance Workshop when she was 3 years old. She has taken all genres throughout her time at the studio and her favorite class has been Turn & Kick with Miss Ashley. Contemporary has remained her favorite style to dance and compete in. “A memory that stands out from my time at the studio has been going to nationals in Atlantic City, NJ.” Sydney will be attending The Ohio State University in the fall and majoring in Molecular Genetics on the Pre-Med track. When not at dance she loves to run and go to the movies with her friends.

Micaela started dancing at age 3 participating in Irish step and began dancing at The Dance Workshop in second grade. She has taken lyrical, ballet, jazz, tap as well as her favorite styles hip hop and contemporary. “My favorite memories at DWS are always at recital. I loved spending a day running around and dancing alongside my friends with a tailgate between shows. I also loved the turn and kick productions, my favorites were Moulin Rouge and The Greatest Showman.” Micaela will be attending Quinnipiac University in a 3+1 masters program for molecular and cell biology. When not at DWS, she loves to run track at school and go out with her friends.

“I came to DWS a little later than most and although I stopped taking classes due to my high school sports, I continued to assist and the studio never stopped being a second home. I always know my teachers will welcome me with open arms, include me like I’m still part of the team, and support me in all that I do. I love all the girls I used to dance with still, and I’ll always cherish my time spent competing with them. Long hours of rehearsals, classes, competitions and conventions with these girls and wonderful teachers are such a big part of who I am today. I couldn’t have believed in myself or found my true passions without years of dancing here. To all the littles I help teach on Mondays, thank you for keeping me connected to such an amazing place. I can’t wait to see the beautiful dancers you’ll become!”
