First day of Art in the Park 2021 is this Monday 06/28/21!! Looking forward to this year and to seeing all of you in person!

Art in the Park starts next week. Yay! ☀️🎨

Here is what this year’s schedule looks like 2021:

8:30am Parents Drop Children Off at MGS Gym Doors

8:30-9:00am Breakfast at the MGS Cafeteria

9:00-9:30am Recreation Time at the MGS Playground

9:30am Walk to the Methodist Church

9:30-11:45am Art Time at the Methodist Church

11:45am-12:00pm Clean-up at the Church and Walk to MGS

12:00-1:00pm Eating and Playing in Shifts at MGS

1:00pm Parents Pick-up Children at the front of MGS

Participants will need Masks and Water Bottles!

Lori Pelkey is going to be doing a Facebook Live Storytime For the library today at 10:30! She is doing a dragon storytime. One of the books she is going to read is "Home at Last" written by the Teen Art in the Park employees from 2012! Don't miss out on this splendid treat!

Scratch Art

I know you may have already seen these photos but I am posting them again and with them I will be giving some helpful hints and ideas.

Some of you may remember from past summers about positive and negative space and this art project consists of just that! You are taking the negative space (the black) and scratching it off to create the positive space (the rainbow colors underneath the black).

Please note that what makes this project so cool is that you use the negative space to create something beautiful.
