Jazz is coming to The Dowd starting next week! 🎷

For the first time, we're bringing together four unforgettable concerts that explore the many sides of jazz. From the legendary artists who defined the genre, to fresh takes on music you already love, this series has it all.

It kicks off next Thursday, September 11 at 7:30 PM with Catching Some Rays!, a jazz-inspired celebration of the music of Ray Charles featuring Noel Friedline, Cleveland P. Jones, and an all-star band.

Music on Main is moving indoors this Friday!

With weather in the forecast, we're relocating this week's concert into the Dowd Center Theatre. Same great free show, just a drier setting. Here's what you need to know before you go.

🎟️You'll need a ticket this time. Admission is still free, but the Dowd is a ticketed venue, so grab your complimentary general admission tickets ahead of time at the link below. They're first come, first served, so don't wait too long.

A few things to know:
⏰Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Have your ticket ready to scan at the marquee when you arrive.
🔞Anyone under 18 needs to be with a parent or guardian.

A couple of house rules for the Dowd, which is a City building: no weapons of any kind, no smoking or va**ng, and no pets aside from service animals.

Need accessibility assistance? Ground floor seating is wheelchair accessible, and our staff is happy to help. Just let someone know when you arrive. (Heads up that the balcony is stairs only.)

🌟Meet Hayley Renee, the voice behind The Sound of Julie! 🌟

A classically trained British songbird, Hayley Renee has dazzled audiences from the U.S. to the U.K., the Mediterranean, and beyond. With an angelic tone, radiant stage presence, and plenty of charm, she brings a "Spoonful of Sugar" to every note she sings.

A founding member of the London-based trio Bella Popera, Hayley has performed on stages including the Bristol Old Vic and The Ivy West End. She also holds a master's degree in music performance from the University of Bristol.

For the Sound of Julie, Hayley personally crafts each medley and arrangement, bringing a fresh touch to the timeless songs we all know and love.
