News from the Humane Society of Louisiana and the Louisiana Pet Overpopulation Advisory Council:

We need your help! We desperately need Louisiana pet lovers and motorists to purchase an Animal Friendly license plate! Sales are down from this time last year, which means we'll likely have $10,000 less to distribute to eligible parties, such as low-cost spay/neuter providers and non-profit animal rescues and organizations. You can read more about the Pet Council here: https://louisianapetoverpopulation.org/

You can buy them through the Office of Motor Vehicles in person, online, or by ordering one at a title transfer agency.

Here’s the activities for this year. There are some new ones in the mix including the Doggy Parton contest and booth contests that will be awarded during the pet pageant.
The only activity with pre registration will be the Doggy Parton contest starting next week, everything else is at Woofstock.

* If you have the smallest, largest, oldest, or drama Queen, enter the booth contests. Locations for each one will be marked so it’s easy for you to see what’s where.
