Douglas C. Breckenridge, Artist An architect for 40 years, I began my slow transition into Painting and Photography shortly after the turn of the century.

My main subjects are Architecture, Streetscapes, Landscapes and Genre Paintings. I paint wet on wet, often with a palette knife. My paintings often revolve around my travels and adventures in addition to commissioned peaces reflecting the dreams and adventures of my cliental. I do a fair amount of Architectural paintings reflecting my profession for many years, often on commission. My style is imp

ressionistic with a generous offering of color and light, and often done with a heavy impasto. I typically work with a combination of brush and palette knfe depending on the nature of the subject.
