Happy small business Saturday! Remember that patronizing a small business now more than ever is crucial for the survival of makers and brick and mortar small shops, cafes and galleries. Places like Collingswood, Haddonfield, Smithville, Cape May, and the countless others in NJ and PA stay unique, beautiful and quaint because of the charm of local small shops, studios and makers. Today is for them and if you can't afford to shop small, then like, share and repost a small business today to help promote them to others. Do it so that we can continue to have places to go when we want to hear music and stories in local spaces and see art displayed.

I am so sore from this project, but I am pleased with all the progress so far. It is not my aesthetic studio surrounded by sun and plants, but it is a working studio with room for work and progress. I still have to install my slab roller and my kiln, but I can start making again.

Hey, I know it has been a minute, but guess who is flying to great heights? I will not be at Wheaton this year (as a vendor) since I don't have an operating studio, but check back in the Spring for more pots that I will be creating.

Lots to celebrate: new home and setting up a new and improved studio (to be continued), 20+ years as an educator, old enough to forget my age, and of course, as always, still a smoke-show (my life is foggy after 40), lol 🤣. All the things to be happy about.

Another happy client! She broke her vase and asked if I could replace it. I did it for free because I make the rules and everyone should enjoy my work for as long as I am around.

One of my clients messaged me and told me that she accidentally knocked her piece into a shelf and broke a bunch of pieces off. This was 1 of 2 pieces that she has purchased from me. I remade it for her and took back the broken one and repaired it piece by piece. I traded with her, she gets the new one when it is finished and I will keep her old one.
This broken piece is a part of me and my timeline and there are many lessons within its present condition that I would like to share.
I am never broken and beyond repair, and while I am occasionally torn to pieces, I will mend and become more resilient. I am not worthless and I will not be discarded. My flaws are beautiful reminders of my strength.
Keep this in the back of your mind the next time someone makes you feel like you are not enough. You are everything that is good in this world and I'm happy that you are here. Happy Monday everyone.
