WOU Choral Department

WOU Choral Department Western Oregon University's Choral Department, under the direction of Kevin Helppie, is home to The

Chamber Singers, a highly select ensemble of 24 to 32 students, performs challenging repertoire for the smaller choir, ranging from Renaissance madrigals and Bach motets to newly composed works. In demand throughout the region, the Chamber Singers maintain a rigorous performing and touring schedule. Concert Choir studies and performs a wide variety of music for large ensembles, often in divided pa

rts. In addition to works from all historic style periods and regions of the world, the Concert Choir regularly presents extended choral masterworks with orchestra, often featuring student soloists. Announcing Auditions for the 2018-2019 WOU Chamber Choir & Western Oregon Voices!

Auditions will be held during new student week AND the day before classes being. Please see the dates and times below. You can sign up for a specific time outside of Dr. Reddan’s office (SH 124) or just show up during one of these blocks of time. There is nothing to prepare. Just come ready to sing! There are some very exciting things planned for all of the choirs this year and I do hope that you will consider joining Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, or Western Oregon Voices!

Tuesday 9/18 1:00pm-3:30pm and 6:00-8:00pm
Wednesday 9/19 3:00pm-5:00pm
