"Ceramics are, to me, sculptures that are utilitarian. My pieces are one-of-a-kind and often are composed of an animal and its environment. I like the variety of choices this relationship brings. Using glazes and slips often produces unpredictable color results, which can be both good and bad. Making things I have never tried before and using techniques I have not perfected keeps the process interesting and expands my abilities. Learning is engaging. " -- Julia Jitkoff
Julia's works are part of our "Birds 2: Feathers and Forms" exhibition, now until June 28.
Works shown:
