Join us for a reception this Friday, Sept 6th 5-8pm and meet artist Alexandra Kassing.

Alix says, “As I paint, I try to capture more than just a literal image of the subject. I try to capture the mood or emotion that I experience while viewing the scene as well. The intensity of the color and the rhythm of the brushstrokes I use mirror my experience while taking in the beauty of nature. Marshes at sunset and flowering fields are subjects that continue to inspire me and I return to paint them again and again.”
