✨Senior send off, PSDS Class of 2026…..Alyssa Fodor✨

We can’t believe recital day is here and we will be sending this senior off to do bigger things. She’s stunning on the stage and off, beautiful inside and out, and a true inspiration to the dancers she will be leaving behind tonight.
We are honored to cheer her on as she heads to West Virginia University for sports, exercise, and performance psychology and gracing the stage once again with a minor in dance!

💃 Alyssa’s favorite dance to perform was “Used to Know” or “Half Light”, with her favorite style being lyrical.
🪩Her favorite dance memories are competition season.
✨A fun fact about her is that she has an extra bone in both of her feet!

👯‍♀️She will always remember the forever friendships she has made throughout the years. 💜

A final message from Alyssa : “I want to thank my family, friends, and most importantly, Paula and the rest of my PSDS family. Without their support I wouldn’t have been able to get to where I am today. I love you all so much!!”

✨Sending off our 2026 Senior…. Abby Hunter✨
This girl has come back from so much to find her place on the stage. We admire her hard work and determination!! We can’t wait to cheer her on as she moves forward, pursuing a nursing degree at RMU!

Abby’s favorite dance ever was her solo to “In the Stars”; her favorite style is contemporary.
Her favorite memory from her time at PSDS was her first ever dance competition!
She knows she will always remember choreography from her days dancing!

🔩 Fun fact: Abby has a plate with 12 screws in her leg!

A final message from Abby:
“I want to thank my family, my mom, Grammy, Pappy, and brother. Out of those people I want to specially thank my mom for being my ride or die at the studio. She always had my back and was there when things got hard. I love you!”

Top studios from Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and Chicago gathered for the Dance competition, with the youngster from Dance Moms in attendance. PSDS demonstrated exceptional skill with just two competitors. Jordan won the title and overall honors in the 9-10 division, while Grace secured the second overall position in the 11-12 division. Gracie chose not to compete for the title.♥️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Welcoming home for Summer Choreography Boot Camp Paula Scriva Dance Studio alumni, Sheena DiMatteo! We are beyond excited to have Sheena return to where it all began to share her passion, artistry, and inspiring energy with our dancers.

Sheena DiMatteo is an award-winning choreographer, educator, mentor, and elite technique coach known for her passionate teaching style and dynamic, emotionally driven choreography. A proud alumni of Paula Scriva Dance Studio and originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Sheena continued her training at Point Park University where she earned degrees in Dance and Business before building a successful professional performance and teaching career throughout NYC and the tristate area.

As the Founder and Artistic Director of Fearless Dance Intensive, Sheena is dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation of dancers through strong technical training, artistry, and confidence-building mentorship. Her experience as a professional dancer includes performances with renowned venues and productions throughout New York City and beyond.

Sheena currently serves as a competitive company director, choreographer, adjudicator, and guest teacher, working with dancers across the country. Her choreography has earned numerous overall awards and special recognitions for its authenticity, storytelling, and innovative movement quality. She teaches and choreographs in a wide range of styles including ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, acro, musical theatre, improvisation, and tap.

Our dancers cannot wait to learn, grow, and be inspired by everything Sheena brings into the studio. Welcome home, Sheena! ✨

We are so excited to welcome Miss Elizabeth Troxler back home for an exclusive 2 Week Ballet Intensive this summer that is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!!

Elizabeth Troxler is a director and choreographer working across dance, musical theatre, and film. She has created full-length narrative ballets including Peter Pan, The Snow Queen, Rumpelstiltskin, and Hansel & Gretel, and choreographed productions such as West Side Story, Newsies, Legally Blonde, Matilda, Fiddler on the Roof, and Chess at regional theatres nationwide.

She trained in Pennsylvania with Paula Scriva Jersey and later with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, and Vaganova masters including Irina Kolpakova. Under RAD instructor Maureen Price, she earned Distinction on all vocational exams and received the RAD Solo Seal Award.

As a performer, Elizabeth danced nationally and internationally in ballet and theatre, appearing in productions such as The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Sweet Charity (National Tour), Beauty & the Beast, CATS, and Anything Goes.

With more than 30 years of teaching experience, she has taught at universities, academies, and NYC studios including the Martha Graham School. A Certified Royal Academy of Dance teacher, she has coached students who went on to major ballet companies, Broadway, film, and television.

Elizabeth is passionate about storytelling through movement and helping dancers develop artistry, discipline, and expressive depth.
