This Wednesday at the Broken Blackhawk Comedy Open Mic, we're turning back the clock.
FLASHBACK NIGHT is a celebration of beginnings.
We're inviting comedians to revisit their first-ever sets, oldest jokes, ancient notebooks, forgotten one-liners, and comedy relics from a simpler time.
You can perform them exactly as they were.
You can update them for modern audiences.
You can completely rewrite them into something new.
Or you can discover that the joke you wrote fifteen years ago about MySpace somehow still works.
A few frequently asked questions:
🤔 What if I don't have my first set anymore? Bring the oldest material you can remember.
🤔 What if my first set was terrible? Then you're doing Flashback Night correctly.
🤔 What if my first set was amazing? We remain skeptical.
🤔 What if the joke still bombs? Congratulations. You've successfully recreated your origin story.
🤔 What if it kills? Now you get to spend the next week wondering why you ever stopped telling it.
🤔 What if I only started comedy recently? Then your flashback probably has fewer embarrassing fashion choices than the rest of ours.
