As 2025 comes to a close, we’re grateful to be part of such a vibrant Quad Cities theatre community. The River Cities’ Reader year-in-the-theatre recap highlighted many outstanding productions across the region, and we were proud to see Quad City Music Guild recognized for two moments from our season — the emotional impact of The Prom and Kirsten Myers’ performance in The Sound of Music.

Those moments reflect what matters most to us: strong storytelling, committed performers, and meaningful work on and off the stage. That focus continues as we look ahead to the QCMG 2026 season, with exciting shows and opportunities for artists and audiences alike.

Join us at our Open House on 1/4 from 12-2pm to meet production teams, learn more about the upcoming season, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the theatre.

And they said it couldn't be done! Well, actually, no one to my knowledge ever said that … . But who cares? It was done, dammit! Our annual celebration of area theatre, the Reader Tony Awards, has made it to its 10th anniversary!

Costume Shoppe Update & A Big Thank You!

Please note: the Costume Shoppe will be closed the next two Wednesdays as they fall on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. We’ll be back up and running the following week!

As we wrap up this season, we’re incredibly proud of the reach and impact of the Costume Shoppe. This year, we supported 35 schools with their productions — from Galva, IL to Lin-Mar, IA to Erie, IL, including all of the immediate Quad City area high schools. In addition, we assisted five local theaters, several churches, and many individual performers and designers.

Not only were we able to provide a cost-effective costume resource for our region, but the Costume Shoppe also generated meaningful revenue in support of QCMG’s mission. It’s a true win-win: serving our arts community while strengthening our organization.

Thank you to everyone who made this such a successful season — we’re excited for what’s ahead!

The Kit Kat Club is calling, and it’s time to get ready! Auditions for Cabaret are just around the corner on January 17th and 18th, and we want to see YOU!

What an incredible run of The Sound of Music at Quad City Music Guild! To every single person who filled our seats, cheered on our performers, and shared this story with us, thank you. Your support means the world.

A huge shout-out to the many hands that made this production sing: our hotdog sellers, ushers, box office crew, merchandise folks, bus greeters, lobby piano players, and parking lot attendants!…and the incredible cast, pit, crew, and production team who poured their hearts into every moment on that stage. We couldn’t do any of this without you.

Now… get excited!
