Tomorrow is the big day when Festa Italiana returns to Mokena for the 14th Fest. Setup is almost done. Expecting good weather and a good turnout. Sausages will be on the grill early and ready to eat by 11.

Be sure to sign up for the spaghetti eating contest (link on the Festa Home Page) if you feel up to it. Even though all of us cannot be above average at eating 2 pounds of spaghetti in less than 5 minutes, still come out to the Fest Sat, July 25, to watch contestants try at 5 PM. Just over a week to go until the Festa Italiana in Mokena kicks off at Yunker Park (10824 W. LaPorte Rd) in Mokena, on Saturday July 25th 11-10. Last year over 1,200 people enjoyed the music, food, drink, kids activities and more.

This year there are several new food vendors, an Italian car show, kids cannoli stuffing contest, a Leaning Tower of Pisa ice sculpture dispensing Limenello, a photo backdrop of Italy, and more.
