Some old reviews of ABYSS from the last years it was open.
It was a rocking show, like no other I've seen before, or since, and it's cast and the excitement of those shows is sorely missed.
It was great while it lasted...
that being said..
Screw you Minooka-Channahon Fire Department and your prejudice!! Fire Chief Yancey actually said, that last year before he shut us down for a weekend, to show us "who's boss"- "What sort of sick person finds this entertaining... no offense."
They then charged us $700 per night to have some of their goons hang out in full gear with a Fire Truck sitting outside of the entrance!!
Thank you Joe Pena for telling us you would step in to help, but only brought more grief and supported the terrorizing of the show. You're a liar, Joe Pena. Glad you're out of office!!
And, screw you, Yancey, you prejudice twit!! ..and your sniveling toadie, Joe Casella (a guy so incompetent, he was fired from Minooka FD, and, somehow, got hired by Channahon FD...), who you sent to deliver the bad news with zeal. And of course, Brad Sprague, all too eager to go in and tear props down to see if they'd burn...
YOU were the ones that destroyed ABYSS.
All of you are the reason the Minooka-Channahon area is in economic shambles! All you care about is your new fire station, your obscene pensions, and getting a paper cut off of the creases on your perfect white shirts.
Look at all of the empty store fronts in every strip mall... no one wants to open a business in Minooka and deal with asses like you.
