Always an amazing variety of talent coming through Sonic Acres Studios. Had a great session with Dave and his crew recording an acappella quartet live in the room.

Four voices, individual mics, a stereo room pair, and everyone performing together as an ensemble — a very different kind of session from the usual overdub workflow, and a really rewarding one to capture.

Love getting to work on sessions like this and hearing how different artists use the space.

🥁 I love having live drums in the studio!

Joseph absolutely crushed this recent session, bringing a ton of energy and feel to the tracks. For this project, we captured the kit across 12 drum tracks to give us plenty of flexibility when it comes time to mix.

And here's the really cool part — these songs are part of the soundtrack for a video game currently being developed by band leader Brandon. 🎮🎵
