How do I design on my pottery?? I love using underglaze to design with, and I also really love that it doesn't take a whole lot of tools for me to put designs in place... The creativity is endless!!!. It makes sure everything is unique and one of a kind... So much fun!!

I LOVED making the sweet new dish design! I have so many ideas floating around in my head for the future!😁

Many of you know I don't do commissions... Well RARELY do commissions. There is always so much pressure because spontaneity with limits isn't spontaneity at all lol πŸ˜‚ This is a one one-timer and I'm so worried, I sure hope they like it ! 😬πŸ₯ΊπŸ™

Welcoming Sunday with a throwback photo of when I was in the thick of making videos and trying every technique I possibly could at the time! I had a green chalkboard wall (26' worth that eventually became a black chalkboard Wall) that went through an unbelievable amount of design transformations. I'm feeling the need to make things new in the studio.. But it will be too minimize! I'm going through everything I have and deciding if I truly need it or will ever use it!
Anyway... HAPPY SUNDAY & GOD BLESS!!!!

This has always been such a fun way to remember the wonderful people that make a stop in my studio for the annual Artist Open studio tour.
Guests will come and I asked them if they would like to create a clay signature chip, that I will later use to create some sort of art piece from.

I've done this for years! The fun part is when people have not been to the studio and years, will look back on Old guest books to find their signature! The most special was when someone who had come to the studio with a loved one that was no longer with us, came back and wanted to see her loved ones signature. That project ended up being more special than I could have imagined. I'm so thankful for everyone that makes the trip out to my studio each year!

HAVE YOU EVER MISSED AN EMAIL so important that you're still kicking yourself? Because that is SO me right now!

Late last year, I was truly honored to receive an email asking me to submit a Tips & Tools article to Ceramics Monthly Magazine β€” yes, THAT magazine. The one every potter dreams of being featured in someday.

After submitting, they told me it could take up to a year to be published, and I thought, no problem! Well... life got busy, emails slipped through the cracks, and I completely missed their message back in December.

I just found out TODAY that I am in the JANUARY 2026 EDITION! πŸŽ‰πŸΊ

I'm equal parts embarrassed and over the moon. If you've ever dreamed of seeing your work in print β€” don't give up. It can happen when you least expect it! πŸ’›

Finding inspiration on my walk! I was asked at this weekend's event where I find my inspiration and I thought it would be fun to share.

If someone asked you, "WHAT DOES JOY LOOK LIKE?" How would you describe it in a 3D way? What elements would you use to describe it...I've wrestled with this for a month (after editing the video I realized I didn't share how MUCH I thought about this ...it looks like I just followed the steps and walla🀣... I'm still a bit rusty on editing so go with me on it this week LOL)!

NEW VIDEO: I've made some JOY Cups ... tried a new video format...(we'll see how what you think). More important than that, What do YOU think joy would look like? Premieres at 9AM Today!

{Vulnerable moment... I get so nervous when I'm about to release a new video 😟☺🀣}

Meaningful art starts with intention. In this video, I create pottery with meaning by starting with one wordβ€”JOYβ€”and letting it guide my entire creative proc...
