Hey everyone! - Sandi here. Just want to be clear about what is going on with this page. Cedar Creek Airsoft is NOT re-opening. I'm just cleaning up the CCA page in order to leave it behind. I'm going to leave all the pictures for whoever wants them. I may add a few pics in the coming days as I clean off my cameras memory cards and dump computer files.
Alot of the field props, picnic tables, store showcases and things have been sold, but if anyone is interested in barrels, water buffalo, buildings (wall sections) and some other things - feel free to contact me. The airsoft guns & gear in the CCA store will be listed in a few days on eBay and for those interested, I will post a link to that eBay account when stuff gets listed. I have also been asked about CCA patches. I do have some patches, stickers, banners, ref shirts with our field name on them...maybe I'll throw them on eBay too.
Some of you know and some of you probably don't.....but my family has been involved in airsoft for about 18 years (9 of those years were spent running this field). I've known some of you for a very long time. I watched many of you grow up over the years. Closing the field was far from an easy decision and has been rather difficult for me, personally, to come to terms with (airsoft was my entire life). Not looking for any sympathy or any pats on the back - just being a real human being here.
But things change.....the bottom line and personal feelings aside, was that this field was a business and the support for our field wasn't there anymore. I could go into all the factors that contributed to our business closing, but it would just sound like a bunch of sour grapes and bitterness. We did the very best we could, built the best field we could, run the best games we could and tried to treat everyone fairly and honestly.
Airsoft is a hard business - mentally stressful and physically demanding. Weather is a HUGE factor as well and one that we have zero control over.
IN CLOSING -
If you truly love airsoft and you want airsoft to continue as a great sport in this state: support your local fields. Buy as much of your airsoft gear and guns as you can from local airsoft shops (when you buy online, you are not helping NC airsoft in any way). Respect the business owners, obey the field rules, don't purposely destroy what has been built, don't ask for discounts, handouts or special treatment and try not to become a toxic /obnoxious airsoft player that seeks to hurt other players.
BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING you can do is actually - AND
Much love and thanks to you all -
Sandi
