Just starting this baby sweater for a friend’s baby on the way. I’m using Adriafil KnitCol in color 64, which is an all time favorite yarn of mine. Washable with tons of great automatic striping. Plus it’s a fun, free pattern, F602 from Plymouth, which you can download on Ravelry. I’ve made it lots of times before. So fun! They have the KnitCol yarn at Friends & Fiberworks, tell them I sent you!

Right now, I have FREE 15 minute consultations, and also 1-Hour knit or crochet lessons (beginner to advanced, or just to get you back on track with an ongoing project). Also, you can get a 4-pack of one hour Knit or Crochet lessons for less $$ than buying them one at a time.

I will add group classes later, and also the other crafts. Really, right now, the 1-hour and 4 hour class purchases can be for any of the crafts I teach.

Mary Stowe, my dear friend and owner of Yarns Etc. in Chapel Hill NC. It seems like we go to the H&H Yarn (and fabric!) trade show in Chicago together every year! I can’t think of a better thing to do in May! Mary took over parts of my yarn sales territory and also sells fabrics to sewing shops as well, all over the southeast.

Maybe I will also post the video I took of all of the gorgeous quilts on display! That was one of my favorite parts of the show. If it is about yarn, fabric or beads, I am always ready to be there!

I love teaching in person! This was recently at the summer retreat with Friends & Fiberworks

Yes I made my sweater. It’s called “Pierre Top”, made in Rowan Summerlite DK…and YES, I plan to make it again!

That was fun! About 2 weeks to make it. Really nice lace pattern front and back and the fabric is a lovely cotton, linen and viscose blend. The pattern is called Moonglow and the yarn is called “Belle” from Drops. Me and my knit friends caught the yarn on sale recently so I think the total cost was well under $20. In my classes you can learn how to enjoy this kind of project with all the “tricks of the trade”.

I’m constantly inspired to make stuff! Here is a bracelet I made because I loved the print on this skort so much. Miyuki Delica beads and square stitch, plus a hard to find clasp from a dear friend.

Here’s another pair of earrings I made today. My own design and I can show you how, too. I have also made nice bracelets with Miyuki Delica Beads. Very tiny. You need a good light! I use an Ott Light but think I might need another one (or three!)

So Smooth and Sparkly and they are super light and feel like snake skin. Would be great with a friend’s favorite team favorite colors in a graphic design or animal or flower on them.

OOPS.....new craft alert...I've been making several bead weaving projects. Here are my latest earrings, my own design. They are done with Miyuki Delica beads using ladder stitch and brick stitch.

Working on the calendar now. At first, I will have free 15 minute sessions where we can plan what you’d like to learn or get help with. Beyond that there will be a full calendar of beginner classes in a variety of crafts. This your chance to let me know what you have in mind. Feel free to comment below, since I know a lot of things but not mind reading.

You will always need to sign up ahead of time to meet with me on Google Meet or Zoom, and then I will send a login link to your email.
