Warrior Theatre

Warrior Theatre The mission of the DHS Theatre Department and Warrior Theatre is to build opportunities for students It is often a hub of social and artistic hustle and bustle.

The Green Room is the nickname for Davidson High School's chapter 8455 of the International Thespian Society! The nickname refers to the traditional space where actors wait for their entrances. The International Thespian Society, a division of the Educational Theatre Association, is an honorary organization for high school and middle school theatre students. There are ITS troupes at more than 4,40

0 affiliated secondary schools across America and abroad. The Society’s mission is to honor student achievement in the theatre arts. Students earn induction by participating in an affiliated school’s theatre program and accumulating points based on the quality and quantity of their work in theatre. High school inductees are known as Thespians

We will accomplish our mission by:

Creating experiences for students to self-advocate through mutual cooperation and high regard to theatre and each other;
Attending professional productions;
Providing hands-on opportunities in producing excellent theatrical presentations;
Facilitating participation in theatre conferences and competitions
Encouraging volunteerism; and
Acquiring the mandatory materials and manage them effectively to reach our goals

The membership in the International Thespian Society is open to all students whether they have taken a theatre class or not. The Green Room FB page is dedicated to increasing students' exposure to and participation in theatre while building on the lifetime friendships that come out of bonding through the art of theatre.

Davidson High School senior Sariah Hossain has won awards for her acting skills, but she thought what she really wanted to do was "a crazy pipe dream" -- putting on a production of Shakespeare's Hamlet. She made it happen by creating Invictus Artists’ Guild to provide more opportunities for young, aspiring actors like herself. It staged Hamlet as its first production last weekend, with Hossain in the lead role.
