The concept for this piece emerged from my love of survival horror games, liminal spaces, and the backrooms.
I pushed the boundaries of my skill level with the ex*****on of realistic looking renderings of objects, and constructed 3D mini-replicas of objects if I couldn’t purchase them.
This painting tested my patience, and, at times, my sanity.
I poured 8 days of my time, and much of myself into this project, so it is very much… me.

Put in some more work today! Starting to see the full vision now.
Have one more floor and some finishing details to go.
I’m sure I’ll make some adjustments along the way.

I’m a little behind on posting about this piece on here!

Sorta kinda got some work done on the painting?
Had a snafu and glued 2 of the mirrors down on the wrong side. Had to re-paint the top two sections (again; I think that’s the 4th repaint) and I’m debating on whether or not I like the floor separation. (Going for a wood grain, not sure if I’m achieving it.)
I probably shouldn’t have worked on it today, but I wanted to be productive.
We’ll see what it looks like when it’s dry in the morning.

Completed this piece at 15 years old.

Lately I’ve found myself revamping and refining earlier works.
I’ve also found I’ve been creating pieces younger me would have loved.

When I was 18/19, I went through a phase where I gravitated toward dark thriller/horror anime and graphic novels.

This particular piece carries the same foreboding feel.

I pulled these pieces from my wall at Lupercalia yesterday, so they’re now available as a part of my “home collection.”

“Tears and tears” is a mixed media piece on a 24x36in stretched canvas.
Originally priced at $500, I’m making it available for $200.

“Ghosts in Mobile II” is a mixed media piece on a 12x12in stretched canvas. Originally priced at $125, I’m making it available for $50.

I accept cash and PayPal as payment methods.
Front porch pickup is preferred, but I can deliver/meet within reasonable distance.
