We’re almost done with DadCo’s “summer of improv”! Steven, Oscar and Barney took a trip to Denver to represent Dad Company in the Rise Comedy Festival last weekend! We had a great time seeing awesome shows (including Mobile Improv Comedy Carnival alumni Once Upon a Rhyme), making new friends and exploring the Mile High City (including notably Meow Wolf’s Convergence Station, which was… well, pretty indescribable).

Our “summer of improv” pretty much just holds one last big item for us: our August show at Spring Hill College! Hope everyone can come check it out!

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the Crescent Theater tonight for our show! What a great crowd!

If you missed it, sadly you’ll never now know of “And Then She Laughed,” the harrowing tale of one woman’s triumph over shopping addiction and dependency issues, or “Tiny Tim the Third,” the elven action adventure (anti-capitalist?) yarn set against the backdrop of the Keebler Tree. But that’s OK! We’ll be back soon to spin more stories based on your suggestions!

DadCo’s “summer of improv” continues with a trip up to Charlotte, NC for Royal Improv Fest! Thanks to Queen City Comedy and the Royal Improv Fest for inviting the “four fathers of improv” to their festival. Our set was “Amphitheater Blues”, the untold (absolutely true) story of the last days of Pompeii.

We had a great time, got to watch a lot of fun improv and make several new friends!

Next on the Dad’s schedule is our first local stage show since the MICC! July 24 at Crescent Theater! Come see us!
