Rough cut of a blooming plume bowl. Some ideas have to roll and gather more moss than others.

I’ve been playing with tiling in my patterns, and the interface between where the geometric forms dissolve into organic keeps shifting. Tiling in 5’s translates so much more fluidly in 3D than 2D it’s crazy. Yay.

I just found my stash of rutile, cobalt and tin oxide and felt like I hit the jackpot. Yay for chemistry in the office.

What a process, putting down roots in a new studio. Realizing I’m more of a make a bigger mess to get clean kind of girl. Like, let’s do it every way that doesn’t work first just in case. I had fired a bisque fire no prob. My kiln kept tripping the breaker on the glaze fire. Just backtracked through the pre existing wiring for Frida my Fiery Clay Forge with my dad and uncle, who magically flew to this damsel’s rescue. Let me tell you I am theeeee luckiest girl alive. Frida can fire at will, and it won’t burn the shop OR the house down. Yay.
