Phyllis J Harris Quilted Wall Hangings Quilt Artist PHYLLIS J. HARRIS. Award winning, self-taught, quilt artist who has been quilting since 1998.

She learned the craft of sewing at the age of thirteen by watching her mother and grandmother. She sewed much of her clothing during her high school and college years. After a 24 year hiatus from sewing, her interest and love for the craft re-emerged after attending the 1998 Quilt Show in Dallas, Texas. She began with traditional quilt patterns, but gained a passion for creative design in appliqué.
