A tea table for a cozy corner. I built this table from lumber scavenged from a broken upright piano. I took the piano apart screw by screw where I could and used a sledgehammer where I couldn’t. I then separated useful remains from the shattered remnants. With the table in mind and gathered the larger structural portions of the piano and set to planing, ripping, and sanding.
The more decorative pieces of the piano, ie. the keys, hammerboard, strings, soundboard, etc., are being used on future projects.
The rug beneath the table was hand braided by my mother using fabric remnants. It was a Christmas gift for my daughters.
