Hello Theatre MSU fans—

After months of careful planning, bold visioning, and what we can only describe as unprecedented artistic courage, we are THRILLED to announce our 2026–2027 season.

This year, we asked ourselves:
“What if we removed all reasonable constraints… and also most good judgment?”

✨ Kicking things off, we proudly present Der Ring des Nibelungen — performed in its entirety over one weekend. Yes. All of it. Hydrate accordingly.

💖 For our homecoming musical, we’re going back to a simpler time with Bye Bye Birdie — because nothing says cutting-edge theatre like aggressively cheerful 1960.

🐾 In the spring, we invite you to experience Cats — a dance concert? a fever dream? a lifestyle? You decide.

🔥 And closing the season, we are proud to present the boldest reimagining of all: Rent: School Edition — where absolutely nothing uncomfortable happens and everything is totally fine.

Join us for approximately 16–20 hours of theatre, personal growth, and increasingly complex emotional questions.

Tonight, Theatre MSU concluded one of the most rewarding productions we have had the privilege of participating in. We collaborated with the ACCESS program on campus for a very special production of Jack and the Beanstalk. We were thrilled for Jacob Uithoven and his entire cohort at ACCESS for their outstanding production.

Auditions for Theatre Msu’s Sweeny Todd are two weeks away!!

A dark musical thriller about a vengeful barber, Sweeney Todd, who returns to London after being wrongfully exiled. With the help of Mrs. Lovett, the pie shop owner downstairs, he seeks revenge on those who ruined his life: serving up murder and meat pies along the way.🥧

Participants are eligible for a 1hour course credit!

All MSU students, faculty, and staff are eligible to audition regardless of major or experience!!
