We wanted to share a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our recital possible. We truly appreciate all of our dance families!

One of our favorite moments backstage was a 5 year old looked up at two teachers while waiting her turn to go on stage and said “wow, thank you so much for putting together this party! It looked like it took you a long time, but it’s the best party EVER!”

All the months of planning and stress are all worth it in that moment. We are all so proud of all of our dancers.

150 dancers for 15 years, pretty fitting!

Next up on our Senior Recognition, London Brock!

London attended Bain Elementary, Mint Hill middle school, and then Queens Grant High school. Through high school, London always kept A and B’s for grades and finished out high school with a GPA of 3.773. She was apart of the YCI club at school for four years and the Student Council for three years. London was nominated to be part of the Beta Club and National Honor Society. At school, I was nominated for the Stallions award, this being such an accomplishment.
Out of school, I love volunteering at The Post of Mint Hill Assisted Living. I have been volunteering there for over a year and love every moment of it. I have also helped out with Operation Christmas Child by making boxes for kids. I’ve also worked with Samaritans Purse and the special Olympics.
London is going to Central Piedmont Community College and will be pursuing her dreams to be an Activity Director.
Finally, she says the biggest joy in my life has been dancing with Mrs. Whitleigh since she was in fifth grade. London has been a ray of light in class, a constant RARELY ever missing- don’t think she has missed more than 3 days in 8 years. London always has a smile on her face, a hug to give, and a kind word to share. London says she will greatly miss mint hill dance center but she says she is not saying goodbye forever.

Congratulations London!!! 🥳🥳

Next up in our Senior Recognition- Kendall Bishop

I went to Clear Creek Elementary, Crestdale Middle School, and Independence High School. At Independence I kept all A’s all four years with only one B in freshman gym. With 12 AP, IB, and dual enrollment classes I’m graduating in the top 5 of my class. Apart from academics I am the president of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) where I supplied the school bathroom with free feminine hygiene products. I am the Vice-President of Key Club where I hosted a Hurricane Helene Relief Drive, and led an in-school fundraiser that raised money for teacher appreciation, administrative appreciation, and feminine hygiene products for the community. I have also been a member of NHS, Newspaper Club, Junior Ambassador at the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce and Junior Marshal. In these clubs I have volunteered and improved my school and community. Separate from clubs I tutored struggling Math 1 and 2 students, put together cards for the assistive technology department of CMS, made conversation starter cards for the families of men and women residing in a senior home, and put together feminine hygiene bags for women in poverty.

I am going to UNC Chapel Hill Honors College on a full-ride and will be majoring in Public Health and minoring in Biology while taking pre-med courses for medical school.

Congratulations Kenny! We are so proud of you!!
