Attention!

Due to our founder no longer being with us, we have decided to get rid of the display. If there is anyone interested in any of it please reach out. We are looking to get rid of everything as soon as possible and it’s all for a great price. We are open to selling as a whole ot piecing it out.

“Hello All,

It is with heavy hearts we regret to inform everyone that last year was the last of the Schlecht Family Holiday Light Display. The heart and soul behind our display, Dave, has passed away. We would like to extend our greatest thanks to everyone who has supported us and joined in sharing our love of the holidays! As Dave always said, “We do it for the kids. It’s all about the kids.” We hope to bring the display to life around town again one day.

David Schlecht was born March 31, 1971 to Jane and Derald Schlecht Burlington. Dave grew up in Burlington, North Dakota where he and his friends and his sister Jenny Benton Grand Forks rode bikes and played football and baseball. Everyone knew everyone and life was easy. He went to Burlington

If everything goes as planned the christmas show will start running Thanksgiving night. We hope that all of you enjoy this year's show, many volunteers have helped with the set-up, cord running and programming. We could not have done it without each and every one of you.

Yes it is cold outside, but we have quite a few heaters going up outside to take a chill off and we and the neighborhood are ready to see all of the great costumes this year.

Here is the display for this year! We know it’s not the same as previous years, but we will still be out Halloween night handing out all the candy! We hope to see you all Tuesday night.

We want to thank you all so much for your patience during this time. We do have yard decorations up with some lights for halloween. Unfortunately due to some family things going on we were not able to get the decorations connected to the music, but rest assured we will still be out on Halloween handing out candy and excited to see all of you!

Just a small reminder that we are again working with Skelton's for a Cause to raise money for St. Jude! This is a great way to give back as we always say, "We do it for the kids!"

Thank you all for the messages if we are going to open this year. Yes we but due to to outside influences we are not going to have the light show to music. We do have many new things going up this year. Since we have partnered with skeletons for a cause again, we thought a few more skeletons were needed. We are slowly adding more all the time and I hope to at least have the lights on what is done tomorrow night. I am working on a scary sound roll to help get you in the mood when you stop by to look. We love seeing you all and by Halloween night the street will be full.

As we say goodbye to 2022 and Hello to 2023, we here thank you for the kind words and thumbsup as you sit and watch/ listen. We have big plans for the 2023 shows and cant wait to show them to you. Until then l, enjoy this years show one last night, and Happy New Year!!!!
