Last week we bid farewell to Gander as we closed Come From Away (Irene Sankoff and David Hein). This show would not have been a success without the dedication of our cast and crew, and the patrons who attended. Over 1,000 patrons heard the story of Newfoundland's hospitality in the wake of the attacks on 9/11, and we are so grateful for that continued support. We now look ahead to The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, coming this November.

There's only one more chance to see Come From Away by Irene Sankoff and David Hein at Mouse River Players Community Theatre today at 2:00.

The passengers on the diverted flights tried to repay the people of Newfoundland, but they wouldn't accept their money. The Plane People instead stuffed their town suggestion box with over $60,000, one flight collected money to create a scholarship for which is now worth over one million dollars, and money was donated to the town of Appleton to create the Derm Flynn Peace Park.
