And now for a real special one...Before my mom met her husband—who came to us with two amazing kiddos of his own—Deric here, along with his two brothers, were the closest thing I had to siblings. They were my cousins, my sandbox playmates, my pseudo brothers. And to see them all pair off with TRULY 👏🏻 INCREDIBLE 👏🏻 WOMEN 👏🏻 has filled my heart with so much joy.
Last winter, I jokingly texted Deric asking if he was ever going to propose to Maggie (because it was about damn time!!!)...and he immediately responded with a picture of a ring brochure he had just picked up ✨️💍✨️ (Timing can be a funny thing, can't it?!)
Knowing I wanted to capture a surprise proposal, he plotted and planned with me an evening riverside proposal for Maggie in downtown Minneapolis. That alone was special enough to be a part of, but when they asked if I'd do their wedding photos too, I was beyond ecstatic. All weddings are special, but this one (and his brother Brandon's before that) are over-the-top special to me.
Deric, Maggie—thank you for letting me capture your special day. I love you both so much, and I am brimming with happiness for the two of you! ❤️❤️❤️
