Streaming November 19th ... When creating art seems impossible or unimaginable, Northrop Dance and filmmaker Ben Stamper Artist brings together (virtually and safely-distanced) Brooklyn's GALLIM Dance with M/SP's Dean Bilmeyer, the mighty Northrop pipe organ, PopUp Choir and the music of Arvo Pärt to create 'BOAT'. This film takes viewers on a journey of people becoming undone, floating adrift, building bonds and allowing hope and dignity to grow anew.

We're so proud to share that Maury Glover and our friends at Fox 9 Twin Cities have been nominated for a Midwest Emmy for their spotlight news story about our 2019 performance for HM Queen Elizabeth II!

Scotland 2019 was a truly unforgettable experience for everyone involved, and we are so grateful to the Fox 9 team for sharing our story with the Twin Cities community in such a beautiful way.

Today our friend, Michael Dennis Browne - poet, librettist and Twin Cities treasure - celebrates his 80th birthday.

How much richer our choral repertoire is because Michael joined his talents for articulating the heart's often unspeakable murmurs with composers whose music makes them sing. Today we are more certain of the dawn, share a hymn with pilgrims past, learn from the life and death of Matthew Shepard and find hope in our road home. What blessings you give us, Michael!

In gratitude and honor of Michael Denise Browne, we joyfully announce a commission with renowned Welsh composer, Paul Mealor, to set three of Michael's poems as a Thanksgiving meditation.

We hope to share their premiere with Michael, and all of you, when Paul joins us for a special Thanksgiving concert on November 28th.
