⚠️ Head Inna Bin was started for 2 main reasons:
First reason, to upset the power dynamic of club promoters. People in positions of power over the local artists who used their position as leverage to engage in toxic behavior without consequence because the local music ecosystem relied on being in their good graces. I was inspired by the story of Jamaicans taking their power back from colonist club owners by building their own sound and hosting their dances in the ghettos for everyone to attend regardless of income or social status.
Second reason, very much tied into the first, bass music has always been to a lot of us a thing that creates space for healing energy. It was crucial for me to take the opportunity for healing and remove it from the context of a nightclub where intoxication and substance abuse were celebrated. The healing cannot happen without removing the poison first. It has always been our long term goal to be able to host our own all ages all inclusive completely sober events.
That being said….. IF YOU ENTER THIS SACRED SPACE OF HEALING AND INCLUSION WITH MALICIOUS INTENT IT WILL BE MANIFESTED IN YOUR ACTIONS AND YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS AND YOU WILL BE REMOVED. THIS IS YOUR WARNING.
We have worked to damn long and too damn hard putting our own lives and resources into this thing to let poisonous people creep back in and destroy what this stands for.
If you are in need of healing, if you need a place that welcomes you, if you need an alternative form of social engagement and entertainment that doesn’t rely on substance abuse, this is a space for you. Leave the toxic s**t at the door.
Thank you for taking the time to engage with us. We love you. ⚠️
