We want to let you know that tickets are on sale now for the first ever HERD; Women’s Sports Edition on April 28 at the Institute of Arts!

The theme is PRESSURE. Minneapolis is a city that’s embracing women’s sports like never before, so we’re taking a closer look at something all women know well: PRESSURE. From the roar of a crowd to the quiet expectations we carry every day, PRESSURE can challenge us, shape us, and sometimes reveal what we’re capable of. Join us for an evening of stories about rising to the moment — on the field and far beyond it.

We are delighted to partner with great allies such as the Minnesota Vikings, the Minnesota United FC, A Bar of Their Own, Beehive Strategic Communication, and Meet Minneapolis.* Let’s come together to celebrate how women show up under pressure and get the job done.

Let’s GO! It’s time to get your tickets for the next HERD; Wednesday April 22, 7pm at the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis!

April 22 is Earth Day, so our theme honors the power of being OUTSIDE—outside the norm, outside the script, outside the noise. It’s where the wild things are, and where women have always gone to find clarity, courage, and connection. We’ve all been outsiders—standing at the threshold, peering through windows into worlds we didn’t quite belong to. OUTSIDE brings together stories of exclusion, inclusion, reinvention, and the unexpected beauty of finding your own way in. OUTSIDE celebrates every place we step beyond the familiar—into the woods, onto the ledge, past our fears, or outside the lines someone else drew for us. From wild adventures to moments of feeling on the fringe, these stories remind us how much we grow when we step out into the open.

We hope to see all you fabulous women at the Parkway!

THANK YOU DEAR HERD!

Thank you to our 10 bold storytellers—noting 7 of you were complete newbies to HERD, 8 first time storytellers!

Thank you to our kind feedback-givers—your contribution to the show is pure gold.

And thank you to our wonderfully supportive audience—you showed up ready to refuel and opt for joy.

We like to say that HERD exists because we need more HERstory in history. Women have well-earned tales that need to be told. We love the big energy that surges when we bring a room of women together to do that. Taking the stage is awesome, and workshopping is too. But also, please yell out, “THAT’S ME!” if you thought about, talked about, or even told your own crush story on the way to the beautiful O'Shaughnessy Auditorium. That’s the real magic!

As mentioned, we have TWO shows coming up in April.

First, on April 22, we booked the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis. This wonderful performance space seats 365 women, so we expect tickets could sell out fast. Don’t dilly dally when we announce ticket sales in mid-March. Theme TBD. We send the ticket link to our mailing list- if you are getting this email, you are on the list. Are your friends? They can sign up on our website.

Second, have you HERD that Minneapolis is the #1 City for Women’s Sports? We think that’s awesome! We are collaborating with Meet Minneapolis to bring HERD: Women’s Sport Edition to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts in April as well. We will announce more details on this show in the coming weeks.

CRUSH is a theme rife with possibilities. CRUSH could explore the magnetic pull toward a person, a driving aspiration, or a desired future—and the inevitable fallout from that powerful draw. CRUSH is the time you exceeded your wildest expectations. CRUSH is also the time when you did not. CRUSH could mean an innocent, first-love infatuation, the ache of a broken heart, the complexities of power dynamics in dating, or the raw force of true desire. Let the possibilities stir your imagination!

THANK YOU! What a HERD we had at the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis! Thank you to our storytellers, our feedback-givers, and our wonderfully supportive audience. Our hearts are full of joy.

HERD exists because we need more HERstory in history. Women have well-earned tales that ought to be told. We love the ease, empathy, and unbridled joy that happens when we bring a room of women together to do that. Taking the stage is awesome and workshopping is great. But also please raise your hand if you *thought* about a present story, or *talked* about a present story, or maybe even *told* a present story to a friend or family member. Yes? We see you!! And we love it.

We hope you walked out into the night inspired to shape your own narratives into stories that both empower and entertain you! And that the stories told last Tuesday evening are still marinating in your brain. So much power, agency, love, and grace were on display. And can you believe that a med school classmate of Alex’s mom was in our HERD that night? We love the connections these stories are creating!

Some special props and cheers from HERD to Parkway Theater and their lovely team. Cheers to the fabulous Norah and Mara who offered everyone a warm, red carpet welcome at the check-in. Thanks Kirsten and Molly for being our enthusiastic red-carpet photographers. Gratitude to our delightful merchandise mavens Grace, Carolyn, and Maggie.

On February 11 (and possibly the 12th?) at 7pm the HERD will assemble again, this time back at CHS Field in Saint Paul. Tickets go on sale after New Years Day. The theme for the show is still in negotiations, but trust that it will be spicy. More on this in 2026!
