Open call for submissions: Q***r + Trans Collagists

Twin Cities Collage Collective and NONMACHINABLE are pleased to announce an open call for a new print publication centered around q***r & trans collagists.
This opportunity is open to LGBTQIA2S+ (Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Q***r, Questioning, Asexual, Two-Spirit) artists residing anywhere in the world. Any artist identifying as LGBTQIA2S+ working with collage are encouraged to submit their artwork, hybrid genre work and/or writing for this project. There is no other eligibility requirement.

What we’re looking for:
• Artwork and writing from q***r and trans collagists!
• Open theme, no fee to submit–send us what best represents you and your practice!
•Our understanding of the medium of collage is expansive and inclusive, as is our understanding of q***rness and transness. Paper-based, fabric, three-dimensional, digital, and mixed media collages are all welcomed. If collage is part of your practice, we’d love to hear about it and see your work!
• Please note that we will not consider or accept work that uses artificial intelligence/AI.

Key dates:
• Submissions are due by August 31st, 2025. We are unable to accept late submissions.
• If you’re interested in submitting writing and would like us to review a proposal before you write, send it to us via [email protected] prior to August 1.
• Selected artists will be notified via email in September 2025.
• Expected release: October 2025, for a release aligning with the Midwest Q***r & Trans Zinefest in Minneapolis, Minnesota ().
• We will not accept any final submissions sent outside of the submission form, located at bit.ly/Q***rTransCollage.
