Abenezer Merdassa started a journey into comedy while procrastinating during finals. Since then he has become a local favorite, performing throughout the Midwest. He has won 2021’s funniest person in the twin cities, was named “2025’s 5 comics to watch” by Racket MN, and been featured on NPR. He did however fail those finals

Tannerz Wykes is a Minneapolis based comedian who turns anxiety, awkward experiences, and unhinged thoughts into laughter. Her comedy is equal parts chaos and relatable. She’s been hitting mics across the twin cities as well as producing some of her own comedy shows. She's extremely excited to return to her home mic where she did her very first set a year ago.

She produces Funny Bachelors in multiple cities, a live dating comedy show where blind dates unfold on stage and comics crash the romance in real time. Her voice blends the personal with the surreal, turning relationship debris into something sharp, strange, and funny.

VIRGO SEASON!

August ends but Virgo season continues with more laughs from all of us at Uproar and this week's headliner KJay The Comedian!

Ace comic K Jay the Comedian, aka, Kelechi Jaavaid could walk into an empty room and
have a good time jumping of. The seasoned veteran owns a singular, laid back style that
turns a stand-up stage into his living room, the audience into his guests and the evening
into a funfest of topical and observational humor. His sketches are witty depictions of
everyday life via wry, bone-dry scenarios. Having notched over 100 million views with
Freakout videos. His stock and trade are quintessentially cool and common sense, finding
humor in everyday life. He can be wildly crazy like a kid having fun. Known to tell jokes and
stories, with comedy two kinds of sets one for when my wife comes to the show and one for
when she doesn’t.
Minneapolis, MN/Las Vegas, NV - And just as the prime ingredients in retail marketing are
location when it comes to comedy, it’s all about timing: K-Jay is smooth as a Swiss clock. In
short, he’s a natural born cutup who gives your funny bone a true workout. For good
measure, a strapping 6’ 6” and classically handsome, he’s done modeling stents for such
clients as Big & Tall Casual Male, Best Buy, Dinty Moore and Science Museum of
Minnesota. His fitness workout was featured in the Minneapolis Star Tribune segment "How
I Got This Body" in 2012. He played in the NBA summer league in the late 1980's and
1990's and has three summer Pro-Am championships in Minneapolis.

Randall Reid is a comic on the rise, his playful, nonchalant, thoughtful style of comedy has taken shape after ten years plus in the comedy game. Randall has been a Finalist in some of the stiffest comedy competitions in the Midwest. He was a Finalist in the 2024 Loons by the lake Festival, among many other Final round appearances in other competitions. He has a unique perspective to find the balance between the lightest and darkest of topics, and always leaves the audience with an experience they didn’t know they needed.
