Come laugh with us this Monday with headliner Karen Pickering!

With a Boston accent, a lunch lady’s work ethic, and zero tolerance for nonsense, Karen is a seasoned comic who’s been serving up laughs for decades.
She got her start at the University of Minnesota on the award-winning comedy radio show “Bury Me Tenderly” (WMMR, now Radio K), before moving into stand-up while working as a DJ and newsperson in Monterey, CA.

After a decade in comedy, Karen stepped away; getting sober, married, and raising her kids until they hit high school and told her to get back on stage or they weren’t going to college. She did. They graduated. Turns out, threats work.

A lunch lady, retail warrior, comic, and producer, Karen brings sharp observations, positive energy, and deeply relatable stories to every stage. She’s performed at Sno Jam Comedy Festival and the World Series of Comedy, and has opened for Ian Lara, Erica Rhodes, Shannan Paul, Lev Fer, and more.
She also co-produced the hit show “Day Drinking With Mom” for six years at House of Comedy. A proud Boston transplant, Karen is proof that this is one “Karen” you actually want to hear from.

You can catch her performing all over Minnesota and beyond.
