My first ONLINE Ceramic Furniture Workshop is now live!

for years I’ve been chatting with students, peers, and folks on social media about offering an online Ceramic Furniture Workshop. I so value the one-on-one time with students during my in person workshops, but I understand that for many folks attending an in person workshop is not doable. So it is now after teaching nearly 40 workshops in eight countries I feel ready to launch my first online course! This Workshop will be a six hour live Zoom workshop on May 23 from 10 AM to 4 PM (ET)
*Please note at this time the workshop will not be recorded, apologize for folks wanting to join with conflicting time zones*

During this workshop, I will walk through all the information shared during my long format workshops, condensed into a six hour digital format. I will adopt the Martha Stewart technique and have multiple pieces of furniture each at different stages to ensure students see every step of my process! This workshop will be largely demonstration based due to the time frame, but there will be opportunities for students to build alongside me from the comfort of their own home! The workshop will be moderated by my wonderful fiancé, so all questions, comments, and concerns will be quickly addressed as they arise!

Contour Gage coming in clutch for my new ceramic lamp!

Some of the best clay tools are not clay tools, this tool is called a contour gage I see it most often used for flooring, tiling, carpentry and trim work. Highly recommend this tool in the ceramic studio, it makes cutting slabs quick and easy!

Anyone else have a favorite non-clay tool?

NCECA 2026 recap!

What a great time we had in Detroit! We had our debut booth for Dusty Pants Studio () featuring a 7’ wooden pant shelf, and yall showed up! 11 demoing artist, 25 collaborative pants, and hundreds of Dusty merch items out in the world! For all news Dusty Pants be sure to follow our page and check out our online merch drop April 1st!

This conference I was also curated into the NCECA show, ‘Thresholds’ put on by and which highlighted Ceramic furniture, lighting and design- many more images to come from this exhibition!

My heart is full, brain is tired and I’m already missing all you clay folks. Cheers to Detroit, already scheming for next year…
