2/Cuba with Love: A Global Impact Hip Hop Anniversary Celebration
In April 2024, TruArtSpeaks and Maia Maiden Productions took a trip to Cuba centered around cultural immersion and exchange for both Cuban and US Artists in Minnesota. On August 8, 2026 from 12-4p at The Capri Theater, we are going to tell the story, power, and learnings of that experience during 2 Cuba w/Love: A Hip Hop Global Impact Anniversary Celebration.
2 Cuba w/Love is a community gathering, showcase of the archival materials from the trip, a convening, and a chance to give back and support our fellow artists in Cuba as they too are navigating a changing world.

This Cultural Districts Arts Fund activation is funded, in part, by the City of Minneapolis Arts & Cultural Affairs Department. It is also presented in partnership with Maia Maiden Productions and will work closely with Son Dos Alas to resource our artist friends in Cuba.
