Forgot To Laugh: Sideshow And Animation Festival It's the Forgot To Laugh: Sideshow And Animation Festival page! Usually the show has 3-4 acts (or more) and 4-5 animated shorts in between each act.

A unique event featuring a ton of underground animations and performances by human cartoons! The show is geared to adults of all ages. One of our animators coined the phrase for the show, "suggested for an (im)mature audience". Now and then we'll have a family friendly show called, Kids' Table. Most shows were in New Haven, CT at The Little Theater, Arts Hall and Lyric Hall. A NYC show at Manhatta

n Theater Source and we had our 10th show at The Parkway Theater in Minneapolis, MN. FTL has had local and nation-wide performers and animators such as sword swallowers, burlesque, contortionist, jugglers, magicians and knife throwers. We've had The Great Throwdini, Jonathan Burns, Big Nazo and many more. Emerging and well-established animators like Bill Plympton, Nina Paley, Aardman Animations, Billy Blob, Steve Casino, Mr. Mr., Happy Tree Friends and many others. FTL has been producing quality shows at affordable prices with support of sponsors and grants from local returning businesses such as Devil's Gear Bike Shop, Business New Haven, Abbott Printing, Anna Liffey's, Milford Photo, Alternate Universe, Falcone Studios, Department of Cultural Affairs and many others. FTL has had great press. We have been on the cover of PLAY Magazine and New Haven Magazine. Other press like CT Post, New Haven Register, New Haven Independent and radio interviews at WPKN and KFAI. If you are interested in performing or have an animation you want to show at FTL, send a link to your video of your act or animation (no attachments and no AI) to [email protected] and I will review it with our "esteemed panel of yay-n-naysayers" and see if it fits into the fest. Were looking for "clever" acts and animations (does not have to be humorous but it is a plus). Typically acts are 10 minutes or less and animations are 5 minutes or less. Again, the key word is CLEVER.
