Founded by Emily Wolff, TCRG in April 2013, the Mactír Academy of Irish Dance offers both competitive and performance based classes with a focus on precision, teamwork, and grace. MTA strives to be the premiere team-based competition school in Minnesota, where dancers and families are allowed to choose their journey. Whether that is going to a couple feiseanna (competitions) a year, performing wit

h local and international bands, or competing in the Irish Dance World Championships. Our dancers celebrate this exquisite art form in a variety of different settings and spread the joy of Irish Dance to everyone they meet.

This month we said farewell to our five graduating seniors as they head off to college. We have no doubt you will all go on to do amazing things as you have done for this Wolf Pack 🥹🥹🥹 These five have all danced with Mactír from pretty much Wolf Pups on up, so to say this goodbye was a hard one is an understatement. It has been such an honor to watch you grow as dancers and humans. From being the Wolf Pup looking up, to being fierce leaders and coaches to our next generation. You dedicated so much of your lives to Irish dance and to Mactír and we are forever grateful to have been on this journey with you 💜🐺💜 It’s never fully goodbye though, it’s a see you later because you’ll always be a part of the Wolf Pack 🥹🥹🥹 now an excuse to share some of your early days photos!! There were way too many memories to choose from this Twin Cities Irish Fest - at the heart of it - this Wolf Pack community is what makes these weekends so special. It’s the backstage pep talks, hanging out in the grass under “the big tree” enjoying world class music, and dancing into the last few summer nights we have. We had dancers experiencing their first Twin Cities Irish Fest this weekend, and got to catch up with old students and parents who have been coming for well over a decade, we got to say one final goodbye to our graduating seniors, so much joy and love was felt. Thank you to the absolutely world class musicians we got to work with and meet this weekend! Thank you to Twin Cities Irish Fest for a weekend to remember!

We would not be where we are without the kindness and generosity of this community. They continue to show up for each other and clap and cheer through all the many phases of Mactír. Thank you to every dancer and family for all you do - we feel so honored to go on this Irish dance journey with you 💜
