Nia is a joyful practice, for both your physical body and your mind and spirit. Nia is a unique fitness technique that combines dance, martial arts and healing arts. I've practiced Nia for since 2004 and have been teaching full time since 2014. It has changed my body, my mind and my life. I've come to love my body, created new strength, improved my balance. I have less depression and anxiety and m
ore inner peace. I'm more confident, self assured and joyful. Sign up and pay for classes offered at Center for Performing Arts in Minneapolis and Twin Cities Friends Meeting (TCFM) here :

I invite you to try a Nia class with me! You do not need to be a certain size, a certain age, have any special abilities or experience. We move in bare feet, so that our feet can be conditioned and our bodies can learn how to move in ways that don't cause injury. Shoes are always an option, too. Bring a yoga mat for the end of class if you'd like and a water bottle, too.
