Conjunto Showcase en Minnesota was created to celebrate and educate audiences about Mexican-rooted Conjunto music.

Now in its third year, we’re grateful for the many people, organizations, and funding partners who have helped us share the story and culture of Conjunto, the music of so many working-class and migrant communities.

Supporters like Folk Will Save Us have been instrumental in making this possible. Thank you to them, and to everyone who continues to support this work as we introduce new audiences to Conjunto and reconnect others with the music they grew up with.

Conjunto Showcase en Minnesota was founded to honor the Mexican immigrants and migrants who brought Conjunto music from Mexico and South Texas to Minnesota, carrying their culture, traditions, and resilience with them.

Federal immigration agents in Minnesota are causing fear, anger, and grief across our communities. While we are gutted by what is happening, we are not alone.

Minnesota is our home for a reason, and we stand in solidarity with immigrant families and neighbors who are being unjustly targeted, and we reject the dehumanization of people whose lives, labor, and culture are deeply woven into our state's identity.

Our work has always been about honoring heritage, community, and the dignity of people whose stories and contributions matter. When we turn the page on this chapter of our history, it will be a horrific story, but our people will still be here to tell it.

Nos complace compartir que Conjunto Showcase en Minnesota ha recibido financiamiento mediante una subvención para 2026 por parte del Minnesota State Arts Board. Este apoyo nos permite continuar con nuestra misión de preservar y celebrar las tradiciones del conjunto mexicano en el estado de la Estrella del Norte, honrando la música que los migrantes y comunidades inmigrantes mexicanas trajeron al Medio Oeste. 🇲🇽🪗

Thank you to everyone in St. James and the surrounding community for another successful Conjunto Showcase baile at The 225 Event Center! This venue has proven to be a valued partner in the community, and we’re grateful they opened their doors to us once again.

¡Estamos emocionados de dar la bienvenida nuevamente a Uniting Cultures y Convivencia Hispana - Watonwan al Conjunto Showcase en Saint James este sábado! Estos increíbles socios comunitarios en el área de Saint James y el condado de Watonwan han sido grandes defensores de nuestra celebración de la música Conjunto, y agradecemos su apoyo para traer el showcase de regreso a Saint James.
