About North Star Paranormal Research:
North Star Paranormal Research is a Twin Cities–based group rooted in curiosity, respect, and a deep commitment to uncovering the unseen. Operating out of Minneapolis and St. Paul, they serve as a guiding light—much like Polaris, the North Star—steadfast in their mission to explore the paranormal while preserving the rich histories tied to each location they investigate.

Their work orbits around three core principles: research, historical preservation, and storytelling. Every case is approached like mapping a constellation—carefully connecting fragments of evidence, personal accounts, and historical records to form a clearer picture of what lingers beyond the veil. They believe that the past is never truly lost, only waiting to be rediscovered, like distant starlight still reaching us across time.

Through thoughtful storytelling, North Star Paranormal Research ensures that these echoes are not forgotten, giving voice to places and people whose stories deserve to shine. Central to their mission is “para unity,” a belief in bringing together investigators, historians, skeptics, and believers alike—like stars aligning in a shared sky—creating a stronger, more respectful paranormal community.

Fire Gardens and the Weight of 1AM: A Special Archive Exhibit

I hope you can join us this Friday evening for a truly unique exhibition!

Both M. Thomsen and Nicholas Harper have explored the depths of their archives to unearth rare, abstract works from their respective catalogues. These freshly resurfaced paintings complement one another perfectly, serving as a testament to the artists’ enduring vision and technical evolution while demonstrating a shared sense of timelessness.

We look forward to welcoming you and your guests for an evening of art and conversation.
